Teicoplanin Injection

Teicoplanin Injection is an antibiotic used primarily in the treatment of serious Gram-positive bacterial infections, especially those resistant to other antibiotics such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death, and is often used in hospital settings for infections that are difficult to treat or in patients who are intolerant to beta-lactam antibiotics. Due to its prolonged half-life, Teicoplanin allows for once-daily administration, making it a convenient option for both inpatient and outpatient care. It is especially useful in infections involving the bloodstream, bones, joints, lungs, and heart valves.
