Iron Dextran Injection is used for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia, particularly when oral iron is ineffective or contraindicated. This formulation provides elemental iron in a stable complex with dextran, ensuring gradual release and uptake by the body’s reticuloendothelial system. It is widely used in both adult and pediatric populations under strict medical supervision. Indications

Iron deficiency anemia unresponsive to oral iron therapy
