Product Details

Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose Ophthalmic Solution is a lubricating eye drop used to relieve dryness and irritation caused by decreased tear production or environmental stress. This sterile, aqueous solution acts as an artificial tear and ocular lubricant, improving eye comfort and protecting the corneal surface. It is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome, computer vision syndrome, or post-surgical eye dryness. Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose works by forming a transparent, lubricating film over the ocular surface to retain moisture and reduce friction during blinking.

Indications

Indicated for the temporary relief of:
- Dry Eye Syndrome (Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca)
- Burning, stinging, or discomfort due to eye dryness
- Ocular irritation caused by wind, sun, heating/air conditioning, or prolonged screen exposure
Also used as an adjunct in post-operative eye care to maintain surface hydration
Suitable for use in contact lens wearers (upon physician recommendation)

Dosage

Adults and Children (6+ years): Instill 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed, typically 3–4 times daily or as directed by a healthcare provider.
