Product Details

Fosfomycin Sodium for Injection is a broad-spectrum, bactericidal antibiotic that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis at an early stage. It is particularly valuable for treating infections caused by multi-drug resistant organisms. Fosfomycin has excellent tissue penetration and is widely used for complicated urinary tract infections and hospital-acquired infections.

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of:
- Complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis)
- Bacteremia associated with urologic infections
- Hospital-acquired pneumonia, including ventilator-associated pneumonia
- Bone and joint infections
- Meningitis
- Infections caused by multi-resistant pathogens

Dosage

Adults: Dosage depends on the severity and type of infection.
Children: Dosage should be adjusted by body weight and infection type, under physician supervision.
