Product Details

Ciprofloxacin Eye Drops is a prescription antibacterial solution used to treat external eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics and works by stopping bacterial cell division. It is commonly used in the treatment of conditions like conjunctivitis (pink eye), corneal ulcers, and other superficial ocular infections. Also used as a preventive treatment following ocular surgery or trauma.

Indications

Bacterial conjunctivitis

Blepharitis with secondary bacterial infection
Post-operative prophylaxis after cataract or LASIK surgery
Other superficial eye infections caused by susceptible microorganisms

Dosage

Adults & Children (as prescribed):
- Instill 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 2–4 hours for the first 2 days, then reduce frequency to 4 times daily as the condition improves.
- Duration and frequency may vary based on the severity of infection and physician’s advice.
