Product Details

Cidofovir Injection is an antiviral medicine used to treat serious viral infections. It is mainly used for cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis in patients with weakened immune systems, especially those with AIDS. The medicine works by slowing the growth of the virus. It is given by intravenous infusion under medical supervision. Regular kidney function tests are advised during treatment. Due to its antiviral activity, it may sometimes be used to treat other viral conditions such as viral skin infections, Genital Herpes and Respiratory Papillomatosis.

Dosage

Adults: The dose depends on the patient’s condition, body weight, and kidney function.
