Product Details

Calcitonin Salmon Nasal Spray is prescribed during bone-related conditions such as osteoporosis, Paget’s disease and hypercalcemia. It works by increasing bone density and preventing bone breakdown. Calcitonin is a hormone naturally produced by the thyroid gland, that helps regulate the levels of calcium in the body. This nasal spray is a synthetic version of the hormone and helps decrease bone resorption.

Indications

Indicated for women with osteoporosis in their postmenopausal phase
In Paget’s disease, when bones become enlarged and deformed, calcitonin helps to normalize the abnormal bone turnover
Temporarily treats hypercalcemia
Manages and eases pain caused by certain bone diseases such as bone metastasis or osteolysis

Dosage

In adults, 1 spray in one nostril per day
For children, consult a doctor before using calcitonin
