Mometasone Furoate and Formoterol Fumarate Inhaler is a fixed-dose combination therapy used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in patients requiring both inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and long-acting beta-agonists (LABA).

Mometasone Furoate: A potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling and mucus in the airways
Formoterol Fumarate: A rapid-onset LABA that provides sustained bronchodilation for up to 12 hours

This combination helps in improving pulmonary function, reducing asthma symptoms and minimizing exacerbation risks, especially in moderate to severe cases.

Indications

Indicated for maintenance treatment of asthma in patients aged 12 years and older
Suitable for moderate to severe asthma requiring dual therapy
Indicated for maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction in patients with COPD, including chronic bronchitis and emphysema
Helps reduce the need for rescue medications and prevents disease progression

Dosage

Adults & Adolescents (≥12 years):
- 100/6 mcg: 2 inhalations twice daily
- 200/6 mcg: 2 inhalations twice daily
- 400/6 mcg: 2 inhalations twice daily (for severe cases)
Children (<12 years): Use under specialist supervision only
